Erratic weather during the growing season made the 2008 vintage challenging in Porto. It was unusually cool and producers who harvested later in the season were rewarded with perfect weather from late September on. The Messias Colheita 2008 has lovely acidity because of this as well as notes of stewed blackberry and clove.
