Landmark Overlook Chardonnay

Vineyard Notes: An elegant blend of premium fruit from Sonoma County the vineyards used in the Overlook Chardonnay represent some of the best that 2015 had to offer. Greg Stach's expertise selecting the finest sites and our growers' excellent viticultural practices yielded truly exceptional fruit from respected parcels such as Lorenzo and Lone Oak in the Russian River Valley and Bald Mountain in the Sonoma Valley. The Chardonnay is hand harvested hand sorted and fermented using all native yeasts providing the purest snapshot of what this vintage had to offer. Winemaker Notes: Our earliest Overlook Chardonnay harvest ever started on August 21st 2015 and finished on September 28th 2015 and was comprised of 42 individual lots sourced from 24 vineyards. Each lot was lightly whole cluster pressed the juice was allowed to settle for a day then was placed into French oak barrels (25% new) where it spontaneously fermented using native yeast to add complexity to the wine.
